Wednesday, December 17, 2008, 09:31 AM CST [General]

can someone suggest to me what size needle is recommended to learn with for the first time?

I have tried casting on size 8 needle but my stitches are either too tight and i am unable to get the needle through or they are too open and fall off the needle

i am unable to make it correctly to get going on any type of project

i would like to knit some socks for self and family but i am just a newbie to knitting

i have mastered the single crochet so now i want to master the knit stitch

    any suggestions

    christmas for shut ins

Saturday, December 13, 2008, 09:50 PM CST [General]

Are you giving any of your items to shut ins or nursing homes for christmas?

At our church we are giving the usual sweaters hats gloves etc since i dont have the money to purchase those kinds of items so i am giving part of my items from my etsy store instead.

i hope the items are appreciated and cared for by the residents of the nursing home.

    love to all

    happy holidays

    Enjoying time with mom

Saturday, December 13, 2008, 08:48 PM CST [General]

went out this evening to enjoy a hearty meal at a new restaurant. it was a deli place. the food was good ...the service was good because we got inside the restaurant before the rush came in but the price was little steep ....i paid 6.99 for a greek pita sandwich and a very small bowl of potato salad. but the drinks were really big.

Has the recession in your town slowed down the dining out experience?
