well its been quite a long time since i have posted anything or completed any projects...

i was making and completing my first ever quilt

 i really enjoyed making it and hope to do more of them with better results my sewing on the machine was atrocious but i am glad about finishing a project.

i was in a bead swap awhile back so i hope to be completing more designs for my extinct etsy site

I was surprised by my mail yesterday... i was invited to participate in the annual christmas arts crafts show at a local elementary school this year. There is usually 1500 people that pass through the show.

Now i just have to finish some items and try to locate unique beads or spacers to finish others...

There is a small jury to pull out some artisans to show their work because the show doesnt want to have massive amounts of jewelry shown so hopefully i will get picked

The deadline is april 1 with a acceptance response by july 1 so we will see what happens keep your fingers crossed so that i get to show my work this year

I just came back from a mini vacation to williamsburg va with friends. It was great. The off season prices at the hotel made it a wonderful stay at the holiday inn express with a inside heated swimming pool.

The very hot whirpool was marvelous for the aging legs and soothing to the soul.

Visited the glassblowing house in jamestown....was able to see the people dressed in costume in the very chilly weather blowing glass into a medicine bottle. The guide said they use gas heat for the oven fire...in the old times it was real fire and would take two weeks for the glass to cure....It was great since I had just watched a pbs story about glassbowing in rhode island I think it was.....

So now it has once again peaked my interest in beads and how they come into being. So i am off to make new designs....

i was featured on a blog for my jewelry for my blue fish necklace...

i am so proud of that necklace because it came out to my design in my head. There are a few of my items that i would like to take apart and remake but the cash flow just isnt allowing for that this month

i hope to be able to present more pieces of jewelry next month maybe just in time for valentines day
