    I am SO lazy!!!!!

    Friday, April 24, 2009, 08:10 PM [General]

I haven't been in here in two weeks! Shame on me! I hope, in the meantime, you enjoyed the new photos I posted and the feature I did on DukDesigns. Someone lucky got the last of the black and white damask bags like the one I got - I hope it was one of you lovely ladies here!

We participated in the Diva's Luncheon Fashion Show at the Knoxville Museum of Art in Knoxville, TN, on Tuesday, April 21. We didn't make any sales that day, but we did get a lot of exposure, and I know that my mom passed out tons of business cards prior to that day and hopefully, on that day (thanks, MOM!). She's going to ship me my stuff back ( I hope) so I can photograph it and list it on Etsy. There's some really beautiful things - I'll try to list some of them here, too.

I'm pulling together some ideas for new shop features. In the meantime, my good friends HeathensHearth and sojourncuriosites over at Etsy are having an awesome giveaway. Check it out at www.heathenshearth.blogspot.com and follow their instructions to get some totally great giveaway items!

Ya'll have a totally great day, and do something wonderful for yourself today!

    DukDesigns

    Wednesday, April 15, 2009, 04:50 AM [General]

I made a new friend today at Etsy. She runs a marvelous bag shop called DukDesigns. As a matter of fact, my new friend and I have traded products. She has a slammin' new necklace and I have a jammin' new handbag for summer. I'm very excited! I'm a mommy - mommys don't get cool new things very often!

Her bags are made out of the neatest fabrics I have ever seen! There's a roses and skulls bag I would have picked, but could you just see my pastor's face when I carried that one in? LOL So, I stuck with classic black and white - 'cause a girl can't go wrong with black and white!

There's the one I bought - she re-listed it, so you can have your very own! She has so much more than black and white, though. You just have to go check her other stuff out. It's such an awesome shop - I really had a hard time deciding which one I wanted! Ya'll have a great day! Love ya!

    Hiya!

    Friday, April 10, 2009, 01:39 AM [General]

I've been AWOL  for a few days - I gotta get better about writing to you guys! Life sort of interfered - if you're a regular reader, you know what's been going on. I'm feeling better (sort of) - I'm very tired. I've been taking long naps in the afternoon, but I figure I need to. The old bod is getting tired faster than usual right now. It sort of shoots productivity in the head, but that's the way it is!

Update on our fashion show in Knoxville: Mom submitted ten of our pieces to be worn by the models and all ten pieces were accepted. YAY! We also have several pieces that will be in the boutique section during the show, so we are getting some killer exposure during all this!

I did my first international custom order for a lady in Australia. Very cool. She wanted a seashell charm bracelet made from polymer clay. It turned out really well. I'll try to get a pic posted of it for your viewing pleasure. :)

We've just been generally busting our butts trying to keep heartsabustin afloat - not easy in these uncertain economic times. Mom listed some fab-u-lous vintage items on our site, including a truly stunning Mexican silver bracelet that got 100 hits in three days. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even promote the listing - it just happened. We had 11 new hearts in 24 hours from that one bracelet alone and it got 12 item hearts on it. Amazing. I told Mom anytime the shop needs more traffic, we'll just relist that item!

Check us out - we've been having a lot of fun!

    Heartsabustin's New Look

    Friday, April 3, 2009, 07:00 PM [General]

My mom and I decided that heartsabustin's Etsy site needed to be updated. The old banner and avatars were great, but the banner in particular needed to be updated to reflect our "adulthood" at Etsy. I spent an hour (or was it two?) playing in Fotoflexer to come up with a good banner. And it is so much better. So come on over and check out our new. grown-up look at www.heartsabustin.etsy.co...! We also have some truly gorgeous new bracelets listed that are very popular in the chat rooms right now!

On a slightly different note, we found out that we won't be having a new baby after all. After our first ultrasound, they told us there was a very high chance of miscarriage, and we did. Everyone has been so wonderful and supportive throughout all this. Thank you all so much!

I hope everyone has a great day, and we'll talk to you later!

    LollyBopBaby

    Tuesday, March 24, 2009, 10:02 PM [General]

If you have a little girl, or know someone who does, LollyBopBaby's store at Etsy is a fantastic place to go shopping. She makes the MOST adorable baby items I have ever seen, and the pictures are great. You see exactly what you're getting. She does have a few items that are for little boys, as well, and that's what I want to write about.

Go check out this listing - this is the cutest pair of shoes I have ever seen! Now, I might be a TEENY bit biased, because if you look at the paintbrush and paint can on those shoes, you'll see that they are made of polymer clay. And yours truly, heartsabustin, made those great little charms especially for Lolly. So go check out those precious shoes, and while you're at it, browse through the rest of her shop. She has some great stuff.

Ya'll have a great day, and we'll talk to you later!
