Alright, so it's been a while since the club's founder remembered that there was a blog. Ahem. Clearly, even nearly a month after the holidays are over... they're still not over. At least I hope everyone's had an awesome new year thus far.
But that brings me to something I wanted everyone to discuss out in the open so we could give each other a hand. We geeks need to eat, too (sometimes there are things beyond Ramen and microwave meals... just not often), and it sure is nice to have extra spending money for those action figures (ha ha, speaking for myself *cough*).
My point. How many of you actively sell your work? (I'm assuming many of us are Etsy members.) What are good tips when it comes to advertising to fellow geeks? Are conventions the way to go? Have you "broken out of the geek crowd" and gotten your stuff noticed by others? Or maybe you do "normal stuff" (heh) too..? Do tell.
Personally... I'm still kind of new at this "making money off of art" thing. ("You mean someone will pay me to do this?") And learning slowly.

Good morning, and a belated Happy New Year! :-)
NaomiEverything geek I've made have been gifts. I'd like to do a convention, though.
I'm still learning, too. Bit by bit.
